Training Tips

Here are some useful training and health tips for you and your dog.

What is training for Yes?
Train your dog to recognize that the word "yes," is an indication that he is doing what you want. The way you teach that yes is a special word is by finding the dog doing anything on its own that is NOT objectionable, for instance sitting, walking then simply, "yes," and rewarding the dog with a treat. Soon each time you say, "yes," the dog will expect a treat and know that the word "yes," means a reward is coming. At that point you will be able to incorporate the word in you training.
